In addition to her work within the school district, Arleen was a dedicated part-time clerk at the Maquoketa Public Library for the last four years. Most recently, she provided invaluable support at Maquoketa High School, taking attendance, assisting with online classes, and offering library support from the 2018/2019 school year until her passing. Arleen then transitioned to Maquoketa Middle School, where she worked from 2013/2014 through the 2018/2019 school year. She began her career at Cardinal Elementary, where she served from 2004 to the 2012/2013 school year. She then moved to Chula Vista, California, and graduated from Castle Rock High School in 1978. Berggren, 89, of Maquoketa, Iowa passed away on Saturday morning, May 27, 2023, at the Jackson County Regional Health Center in Maquoketa.
