In Book 2, Ben, Ben’s betas throw a body into Mount Hypipamee to get rid of the evidence. I wanted him located where there were trees and plenty of space for his pack to run and so the Atherton Pack was born.
So when it came time for Patrick and Jake to have to travel to the Pennaeth Alpha I didn’t want him living in a big city. When I went to visit them for the first time I fell in love with the area and knew I had to share it. My parents retired from a life in the Territory to the Atherton tablelands roughly nine years ago now.
I like the name so I decided to create my own town in Victoria called Leyburn. So I had a look around the rest of the map and I spotted a town in Western Australia called Leyburn. I knew I wanted to set the story in northern Victoria, close to the boarder, but I didn’t like any of the town names. When I sat down to start the first book in this world, Unexpected Mate, I pulled up a map of Australia and started looking at towns. Thanks for having me here at The Novel Approach
